In August 2016, Jordan Brand hosted a media event at the Ford Piquette Plant to announce the partnership and to unveil the football uniforms for the University of Michigan. The announcement transcended the sports world as Michigan Football became the first team to debut the iconic Jumpman logo.

On the gridiron, no team has claimed more victories than the University of Michigan. It has a longstanding tradition of excellence, both academically and athletically. Similarly, Jordan Brand is more than one man. The Jumpman logo has come to represent greatness and unites athletes around the world.
